The House and Senate are aiming to adjourn on Thursday, not to reconvene
until January 27th. They are considering adjouring in pro forma session,
rather than sine die.

CONGRESS TODAY (11/12):

SENATE
The Senate met today for morning business, but did not conduct any
legislative or executive business.

HOUSE
The House passed the rule for consideration of H.R. 2159 - Foreign
Operations Appropriations by voice vote. At press time, they are
considering the Rule for H.R. 2607 - District of Columbia Appropriations
Conference Report.  They expect to complete action on both bills tonight.

The House passed (324-72) the Rule to consider Amtrak Reform legislation.

The House passed the following bills by voice vote under suspension of the
rule:
