It was announced today that Representative Robert Menedez (D-NJ) will take
Bill RichardsonO,s place as one of four Democrat Chief Deputy Whips in the
House of Representatives.

CONGRESS TODAY (3/14):

SENATE
No Votes -- The Senate today began consideration of S.J.Res. 22,
Independent Council Resolution. No amendments were in order, but they may
be ordered beginning at 3:00 pm on Monday;  Also today, the Senate
confirmed Princeton Lyman as Assistant Secretary of State.
